Our INTIMIDATOR Kits with engine/transmission plates install quickly and make the engine/transmission one integral unit. Alignment and angularity are spot-on with Karata. We’ve taken care to provide a solution to driving the starter and—as with all Karata belt kits—the removable front retainer makes belt installation or replacement a snap.
Note: All INTIMIDATOR Kits use the 1990 and up Harley-Davidson high-torque, one-piece starter.

The new generation of Karata 4” Primary Belt Drive Kits are made for electric start Softails, Dynas and FX-style Rubber Mount chassis that use 1990 and up transmissions with any motor, 1955 and up. The 3” and 4” drives feature a massive 6061-T6 aircraft-quality billet aluminum engine/transmission plate. CNC machined to exacting tolerances, the plate positively links the engine and transmission for precision angular belt alignment and dependable performance in large displacement, high-output Big Twins. Our engine/transmission plate incorporates a premium quality sealed support bearing and takes away the hassles of accommodating a wide-belt, open primary, and electric starter on Softails, Dynas, and Rubber Mounts.
These kits are manufactured to the same high standards that make Karata the undisputed leader in belt drive technology. All Karata pulleys have precision, gear-machine cut teeth. Machined to proprietary specifications, Karata pulley teeth provide the exact teeth profiles specified by the belt manufacturers for proper belt release, cool, quiet operation and long dependable service.
Like our other kits, these “big guys” can be serviced or rebuilt in whole or in part. Clutch dogs, starter ring gears, and pulley inserts are all replaceable. All INTIMIDATOR kits include mounting hardware, and a sprocket shaft nut, plus a starter bendix housing and starter bendix gear for a hassle-free and complete installation.
